well what does it look like cause im having the same problem. Mine isnt lifted but its level and biiger tires so im about 2in taller than factory how does it look?

Funny you posted this today. I JUST got these things installed yesterday after ordering way back in April. Big ordeal. Had to return my first set under warranty due to problems with the passenger side. Finally had a local shop install and I think I'm gonna run them for a while. I probably would have sent them back if return shipping was free.

Anyhow I'm a bit mixed on the look. A taller lift would probably look better, but you tell me?

Looks good to me, but that's cause I have them.

Wonder if the top main bar can be raised to be close or even flush with the body.
Then it would be nice to not have the gap and also raising the step bar.

Nope, then you can't wash in there and you would have the bolts on the paint.

Nope, those are as high and tight as they will go. Once you see the brackets you will understand. No adjustment on the steps either.

Beware, I was not happy with the passenger side install. The bracket is different due to the rear AC lines that need to be cleared and NFAB didn't do a great job with their angles. They won't admit this to you. Their market is for the newer trucks, they won't be wasting time/energy or R&D dollars on something they only sell very few of.

Maybe you will get a set that is welded better, but I went through two sets and they pretty much had the same problem.

what did you have to do to make it work?

Well the first set the passenger brackets were not welded right. The second set was better, but still didn't sit just right to make it as solid as the driver side. Don't use the factory running board holes to install. Drill all new holes to make it sit as close to the body as possible and be secure.

In the end I didn't want to roll around under my truck and sweat for an afternoon so I had a reputable off-road shop do the install for me. They did a good job.
