I have an early 2015. The software (not map) of the Navigation System is terrible. Does anyone know if there have been any updates to the software in the 2015s, and if so what bulletin number announced it?

It's the worst nav system I've ever seen in a vehicle. I'd rather have the nav from my 2012 Tahoe back. Which coincidentally is what is in my wifes 2015 GMC Terrain!

But the 2015 system has no "Favorites" buttons for frequent locations. You can't access the "Recent Places" scroll screen when the vehicle is in motion? WTF! And when you go into "Contacts" to select a location you have to hit the address two times and then hit "Go"? What garbage! Chevy in their infinite stupidity went with an OpenSource platform for the new system and 2015 was the first year. So first year with a new software platform means we got the shaft! 2016 was a mild improvement (got support for iPhone and Android apps) but there isn't an upgrade path since it's a totally hardware new unit. If you have a 2015i then you MIGHT be lucky to have one of the new systems that can get a 2016 software flash. But those were few and far between since they were using up leftover Infotainment system in the 2015i. Which means I have a $66k POS sitting in my driveway until I trade it in on a Ford!

Seriously, this nav system is HORRIBLE and the additional software around the entertainment/controls system is just as bad. This might be my last Chevy!

P.S. Sorry for the rant!

Fact! The Navi on these trucks are clunky at best. Even the screen is lacking when it comes to clarity. Got in my buddy’s accord and the screen in that is so crisp and clean looking. I’m just hoping Alpine comes out with something to replace the stock nav in the coming years

Rand McNally. The Nav in my old truck functions nearly the same as the new Chrysler Pacifica's. The resolution is more refined but that's about it.

You can upgrade the navigation to i06 by replacing the navigation module.the i05 version has the 8 inch screen that works thru OnStar.by upgrading to i06 version you get the system run thru the vehicle not using OnStar at all.gm doesn't like to tell you bout it.but the module does interchange you will just need it programed to your Vin.anyone with a tech 2 machine can do that for you instead of messing with the dealer.not sure if your truck is i05 or i06 version but it's suppose to be a great improvement and the GPS is much faster.i no the i06 module say HMI 2.5 on the box that's the ones you need.im going thru the process with a friend's 2014 Sierra right now so I thought I'd let you no
