Nav in a 2007 yukon

Hi and sorry for this being my first post.

I just purchased a new to me 2007 yukon SLT and it has navigation. It has worked great for the last few days until today and today it gave me a error that more or less says "Preparing to load system software please stand by" then a few moments later "can not load system software invalid system disk please insert system disk.

I can hear the radio in the backgroud and I managed to press enough buttons to get the face up but it wont go down and I cant see the radio. What happened and how can I fix this.

Brought it to a dealer, charged my $65 to say yup it doesnt work ....

That sucks. You can do the upgrade to the 2013 navigation with bo ( black on black) for a decent price. Allot of guys have upgraded so there are allot of 07-09 navigations out there as well. I just sold some at 450 or so a piece. You will have to get them unlocked which will cost you another 75-100 dollars depending who you go with.

Yup, just sold mine out of my '08 Denali for $450

Sold mine for $450 out of my 07 as well to do the 2012 HD Upgrade. They are starting to become a dime a dozen.

Yes I have already talked to CPS in california about upgrading. I was just looking forward to getting a few hundred for mine back haha plus I cant do it for a few weeks since I am going to bring it back with me (I have a home in AZ I will visit next month).

My dad will likely take the unit and figure out whats wrong with it. He likes these challanges and normally gets it done.
