There is probably an easy answer to this, but I cannot figure it out to save my life...

You know the tabs on the nav screen for AM, FM, XM, Nav, etc? Well, you can have more than 1 screen for XM channels, FM, etc. You would think that if you have 3 screens of XM presets they would be together. That's not the case with my stereo. Example: If I use the up button on the steering wheel it will scroll thru 6 XM channel presets, then it does a screen of FM, then some more XM, then some FM, AM, etc. Is there a way for me to change the source for the tab of presets? Meaning, when I see an AM page can I change it to be an XM page of presets? Can I change the FM to XM presets, etc.? I would like to end up with maybe one FM and then a few XM arranged in order so when I select next on the steering wheel it will just go thru all the XM tabs before going to FM or anything else. Am I making sense here? Can anyone tell me how to arrange these tabs or alter the source for the tabs for presets? I don't have a manual for the nav, so I appreciate any help you can provide.

Also, this is a 2008 Tahoe LTZ factory nav system.

You can select the number of favorites (FAV) up to 6. I have my number 1 favorites for AM presets, #2 for FM, #3 for more FM, #4, #5, amd #6 are my preset XM channels. When I use the steering wheel control it will go through all of them if I push the control button enough times. Hope this helps.

Thanks Oklahoma. The problem I'm having is #1 is AM, #2 is FM, 3# is XM, #4 is FM, #5 is XM, #6 is FM. I want to re-assign them to be #1 FM, and all others XM. How do I re-assign them?

I'd just reprogram each button, by going to the channel and then hold down the favorite button you want to use. But that's just me.

Dirtbikedude, How do I reprogram the tabs? I've tried and can't get it to work. I basically put it on an XM channel, then I hit the tab button at top and it just switches over to FM or whatever that tab has currently. It isn't letting me re-program the tabs.

I can reprogram individual buttons on a given page. For example, I can open the XM page and go to a channel, then hold down a preset button at the bottom and it will make that button the channel I was on.

However, I cannot make it change the entire page from say FM to XM. That's what I need help with how to do. I bet it is very simple and an obvious thing that is simply keeping me baffled somehow. Little help?

I don't know if I understand you correctly, but I'm going to take a shot in the dark.

The presets are able to go include different bands because some people (like myself) have stations grouped by genre. If you want to organize it fav page, just save the stations to that specific space or change favorites pages by hitting fav and adding it on one of those spaces

Stevek, Thanks for the reply. After reading your note, I realized it was all in the way I was looking at what my steering wheel buttons were doing. I thought they were making the channels progress thru the tabs up top and for some reason the factory made you have "favorite" tabs for AM and FM. The original owner had a whole page of AM favs, and a couple of FM, then the other 3 were XM. So, I thought it was going thru tabs up top.

I now realize those tabs are just so we can switch to AM, FM, XM, Aux, etc. The steering wheel controls simply go thru Fav pages which are shown at the bottom of the screeen as Fav1, Fav2, etc. I went thru last night and now I have 6 pages of nothing but XM. Thanks for the help!
