Just wanted to throw this out there. My truck has a 6.0, BB tune, headers and ORY, muffler in place of stock, modded stock intake, 3.73s with heavy 24s. Ive been running a stock intake with the bottom silencer cut out and sealed, with the bottom of the air box cut out. Muffler was a worn out 14" magnaflow. I just finally did the 4" pvc intake and i swapped the 14" for a new 18" magnaflow. I made the same trip last week. 170 miles to school and 170 back. They way up I got 17.9 and the way there i got 17.8. This was cruise set at 72, 95% interstate and 5% city. Gas station to gas station. I just got this stuff done yesterday and made the trip back home. Same gas stations. Got 19.7 mpg. 170 miles and 8.6 gallons. So i picked up 1.8 mpg with the intake and new muffler. It sounds crazy, but I can notice the power difference. Maybe because I was tuned for an intake, but only had the stock one. not sure. Just wanted to throw it out there. I know SamCarrol picked up 2-3 with his intake, so it was well worth the 18 bucks I spent.

I should say its not doable if you still have a clutch fan since the elbow would be in the fan.

I have been making this trip for the last 4 years and never got better than 18.2, so ive put some time into checking it.

Didnt have an elbow that would fit a 4" pvc, so I just used another 4-4 adapter and it worked great. Gonna paint it black tomorrow.

4-4 adapter on the TB to 4" elbow, 4-4 from elbow to 4" pvc. 4-3 adapter to the MAF.
If you notice, its offset to the left a bit. Had to do this to clear the pulley to the bottom right. If I would have gone with 3" everything, it wouldnt have been a problem. Not sure if that would make a difference or not.

Another option would be exhaust tubing cut to fit. 4" will be a thin wall 18g. To help eliminate heat soak, wrap it in exhaust wrap( it looks cool too).

Looks good. Will look much better when you paint it though. I need to do the same thing on my Silvy once I get E-Fan's installed.

Ya i never took it off to paint it lol..i picked up some mpg in the city as well..hard to believe..I must have had a leak before in my cut stock tube and it was messing with my shit, but my scan tune never picked it up..

i will say, the 18" magnaflow is soooo much louder than the 14" magnaflow I had on there..if im super easy on it, its quiet, but when i lay into it, its much louder...weird
