If he used his existing fogs as drls he'd have to mod the lights in them as well to be effective and therefore lost his "fog light" functionality. I do like that idea though Edgar :)

Well the stock light the yukon has are like that. DRL in the daytime then the same DRL are the headlights at night. So it is possible u just have to work it out.

Wait but then u would have to use another kind of bulb and not the led type. They are just cosmetic.

SW CT,
Since you are going to be doing the retrofit and will have the housings apart why not add a small bulb somewhere in the housing. I know that you can get sockets for just about every bulb out there.
Also if you want to run your fogs as drl's you can still use them as fogs just need to diode isolate so that they do not feedback to one another. I did this to my dads silverado which have the lows as drl's and switching to hids he did not want them on all the time.

Dual use of the fogs as drl during the day and controlled by the fog light switch at night is the plan as it stands now.

Guys, the point of this thread is not to help me configure my retro ... trust me, a lot of thought has gone into it. I'm just looking for help finding out if the NBS esky fogs (or another aftermarket housing) will fit snuggly in the NNBS hook gaps ... that's all I want to know. :)

And to answer the question ... someone other than me.

Although it would seem my skillz are underestimated. ;)

Or, if anyone has run into a housing that will fit in the hook gaps I'd appreciate some sharing of info. :)

Cheers!

Merely to comment on your original post - Those NBS Escalade fog lights appear to have a more oval shape. I can't tell for sure, but the opening on the Denali looks more rectangular. Have you considered the fog lights from the NNBS Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche z71? >

Although the NNBS Z71 fog lights may fit. It doesn't go well with the overall round front end of the denali. IMO the escalades looks better.
