If I may ask, What is your cam number and do you have a 6.0 in your truck? Reason I ask is putting a performance cam in a 5.3 and trying to use the same cam in a 6.0 will yield different results.

Kev

Yes it probably will yield different results but you can do what I did and contact Comp Cams and see what they recommend.

The cam is Comp Cams LSR .607/.614 219/227 112LSA 54-456-11 is the SKU with that I had to run the dual valve springs.

I've just got a Bully Dog and a flowmaster. With the swiss cheese mod and I pulled a little over 3 tons of feed and hay through the hills of Arkansas a couple of weeks ago. Pulled great. No problems accelerating and pulling though hills. Thats on the performance setting, I forgot to switch to towing to test it out. I could only imagine it to be better.

Your the second person this week to tell me about the bully dog tuner. I think I'm gonna go with a Supercharger though. I just have to figure out if i want a new Magnuson or buy this used Vortech. The used one of course will save me a lot of money but which one is better. I dont want to buy the vortech then have to buy alot of other crap to make it work for towing.

i personally would do a magnacharger, instant torque when needing to pass, going up hills or simply getting on the highway and very drive able in day to day situations. however gears and a tune would also help greatly

Can you point me in the right direction on a set of 4.10 gears. I wanted to do the swap but can't seem to find 4.10 gears fro the front axle.

The guys at Blackbear are gonna hook me up with the tune. I just need to pull the trigger on the power adder

My 30' RV can hit the scales right at 10k when it's fully loaded. Sure I can tow it anywhere I need to go, but the hills do slow me down more than I would like. A blower or turbo would be nice to have when the extra tq is needed. I come from towing with a Cummins so I was spoiled for 15 years. If I were to decide to do more long distance traveling, I would be back in a diesel in a heartbeat....or two. The vortech takes up to much room, go with an intake mounted unit.
