need a new engine

LKQ can generally get you a pretty good engine for around 600 buck for a 5.3. I have bought several engines from them in the past and had nothing but outstanding customer service, and the fastest shipping I have ever seen.

do this, simple, and back on the road asap.

Why do you want one that is plug and play if you might change out the crank, cam, and heads. That's pretty much rebuilding an engine. If you have the time, tools, and skill, why not just rebuild the engine you have? You could upgrade it while you're at it.

planned on pulling the engine in it and doing that then swapping back but i need my truck, dont really have another vehicle and herd its pricey to rebuild a engine just the amount of time that gos into it. I wouldnt do it my self dont have the tools anymore room.

i thought that, then i figured if i buy a engine what am i going to do with the old? so ill take the old and rebuild it up when i have the cash i guess.
but im trying to find a engine for a good price.

from what I have been reading on here the 6.0 swap is just about as easy as the long block and reprogram the pcm, so it knows you now have a 6.0. everything else bolts on.
