I know, 'search', but I'm short on time. Need to pick shocks today because a shop that changed the oil and rotated the tires yesterday forgot to tighten the lugs on the right rear tire. Luckily, I was only going about 35mph when the tire decided to part ways with the truck. So it ground the bottom of the shock almost all the way off.

My truck has a 2/4 drop with spindles in front, coils with shock extenders in back. I'm running the Edelbrock IAS shocks now. I like them, but always wondering if there's something better out there. :)

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Ya, the Belltech SP shocks are nice, what I'm currently using on front, but alittle on the soft side. Using Doetsch Tech Nitro slammers on rear, which r stiffer and like them for that. Supposedly Summit makes/offers a decent shock also for lowered applications that work well. Alot of guys are rolling Bilstein and really like them. The bilstein maybe your best bet if you need ASAP, since you can probably get local.

That's BS about your ride tho bro, OUCH!!! I would be talking with that shop that messsed with your wheel.

Sounds like Belltech is the way to go. The truck is at the shop that caused the problem now. They're making things right, so I'm not too upset. Hell, everyone makes mistakes at some point. I should have my truck back in a few days. All depends on how long it takes them to locate new smock extenders.

The rental they got me is a new Ford Expedition. It rides smooth, but good God I get sea sick driving it. I don't think that thing ever stops rocking from side to side. Guess I'm just spoiled from mine.

I know I'm late to the party but I love my Bilsteins and I have a 5/5.5 drop.

Ok, so decided on the Belltechs. Here's my problem now. I can't remember if I have the 3" or 4" Belltech springs on the back. And with the shock extenders, don't know if I need the Bel-2410FF or Bel-2412FF shocks. If I go by Summit's website, they say the 2410FF for a 4", either for a 3" and the 2410FF for a 2". With my shock extenders, does that mean I need the 2412FF, since the effective drop for the shock is 2"?
