As stated by another member, most of the issues found by the dealer are eay fixes and "Oil pan gasket leak $575" Really?? New gasket and 45 minutes of your time and you will save 500 dollars. That's a really scary quote for an oil pan gasket.

Definitely get under it yourself and check all of the bushings, ball joints etc... Heavy cars eat them up in a hurry. Looks very nice from the pictures though.

I did some online research and it does seem that Oil Pan gasket on an AWD it a harder job that a regular 2wd.

I am also concerned about the water pump. Is that the thingy which keeps the car cool?

Wow that's not much work done at the dealer. You really need to get under that truck and look for

Excess frame rust.
Controll arm bushings
Ball joints
Leaks
Peak behind the air suspension compressor cover see it it looks original.
Tensioner pulley
Tranny cooler lines.

If all these items look to have been replaced already then the truck may have been serviced by a independent mechanic and may still be a cherry.

If they look original stay away as all of those items should have been changed already.

Thanks for the feedback

The dealer people did a whole Red Yellow Green check marks sheet on a lot of things like compressors, brakes, tires, transmission etc. But I will go check these items myself, again

random thot. i also saw another 2007 Yukon SLT with all the options (DVD, nav, power heated seats) with lesser miles (141K miles) it was for $16K.

and this question may have been answered many times, would the SLT with all the options be a better bet than a Denali?

Thanks guys appreciate all the help

Well, I waited too long on this Car. it was sold.

Surprisingly I did find an almost identical car with the exact same specs. I will get it checked by a mechanic on Friday.

I did a little bit more inspection on this one and the car seemed clean.

Recently I have been made scared of High mileage issues on cars. this one also has about 157K miles.

They are asking $16500 and but Ill try to cut them back to $15000 or lower

Thank
