I have the premium BOSE system, want to replace head unit with my Alpine 9853 and amp the system with a 5 channel.

Do I need the following to keep my steering wheel controls and chimes ?

Would really appreciate your help, would like to buy off fleabay, I'll save quite a few bucks doing that. Installer quoted me at least twice that for each product.

Thanks in advance for your assistance !

Do you have Onstar, and if you do, are you worried about keeping the Onstar? I'm assuming that even if you have it, you are not paying for the Onstar services, so just bypass it. And if you plan on addding an amp for your speakers, there is NO reason to intergrate with the bose amp if you are gonna bypass it and use another amp anyway. You need to run new speaker wires from your amp directly to each door to each speaker. Buy a harness and chime module for a 03-06 truck without bose and without Onstar. This one will work. http://cgi.ebay.ca/METRA-LC-GMRC-01...G-GMRC-01-/140433346526?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0

And yes, thats the right Steering control interface you found.

And this is the dash kit you need if you don't already have that.

And don't forget the antenna adapter either.
