Need Help GM OEM Part Gurus: 2013 Escalade Tailgate Applique GM 23168612 vs. GM 15915679

Looking to get my hands on a new or used tailgate applique for my '13 Escalade ESV to prep and paint as part of the operation de-chrome my '13 Escalade ESV.

GM 15915679 is for 2007-2008 Escalades only
GM 23168612 is for 2009-2014 Escalades

Do any of you GM OEM part gurus know the real differences between these two tailgate applique part numbers?

From inspecting pictures of both new and used parts they appear to have the same mounting/attachment points to the vehicle, are the same dimensions and finish. I thought I had read somewhere that the only real update is the rear backup camera plug connection to the harness? Apparently this was changed or updated for the 2009-2014. If that's the case would the current rear backup camera from my 2013 GM 23168612 fit onto the GM 15915679?

I'm asking because there's a significant price difference between the two when comparing new parts.
GM 15915679 can be found for <$300
GM 23168612 are usually $420+

Any insight or clarification is greatly appreciated.

Don't know if you are still looking, as I just saw this post, but I have an OEM applique from an Esky ESV gate that I removed. Still has the backup camera in it. The clips where the bolts go in broke, of course, when I removed it.

It happens to all of them. I replaced mine with nut clips and it bolted back on perfectly.

Anyway if you are interested in the Cadillac applique PM me and we can work something out I'm sure.
