The thing happened on my hoe not two months ago. Buy a new handle from an auto store then drill out the rivet holding on the broken handle and then rivet in the new handle. Its very simple. Good luck!!

if i remember correctly there should be a bolt or two, and possibly a rivet. haven't replaced mine in a while, so i could be wrong. it isn't that hard to get out though.
