So I have a 2002 Tahoe LT 4x4 and I had shop install a 6" Rough Country suspension lift on my Tahoe. I got them to crank up the torsion keys in the front so the front is now sitting at 7.5" of lift instead of just 6". The rear is weighed down from the system in the back of my Tahoe so it currently sits as if it only had a 5.5" suspension lift instead of a 6" one.

Well here's the thing, I want to remove the suspension lift from my rear suspension and make it stock again. I want to do this so I can add 2" coil spacers and install Monroe max-air shocks instead so I can adjust the air pressure as needed to make up for the weight of my system. I also attend A LOT of national car audio shows and I want to also be able to almost completely deflate the shocks when I have it parked at shows to give it a super aggressive squat just to catch peoples attention.

I took quite a few pics of the suspension in the rear so you can get a full look at everything.

So if anyone could please help me out and tell me everything I would have to do to make the rear suspension stock again. I need to know everything I need to remove, replace, add, modify, EVERYTHING.

After we figure all of that out can anyone please tell me which model of Monroe max-air air shocks that I need to buy a pair of to allow me to adjust my rear suspension from stock height(actually 2" higher than stock because of the 2" coil spacers that I will have installed) to 5" or 6" worth of lift?

Once I know which model to get can anyone please let me know absolutely everything that I will need to get to install these shocks properly?

I know I am asking for a lot of help but just know that any and all input is GREATLY appreciated!!!

check below for the pics! :boti:

Ok well first off the squat thing is so dumb of trend to me! But hey if you want a super squat with no rear lift at all go for it.

1. Get TJ sway bars links (I think 3" ones), these are the correct length for 2" coil lift. Do a little search on the forum and you will find them.

2. Ditch those long shock extenders and order 2" shock extenders

3. Remove the 6" coils and order Moog z71 coils along with 2" rear spacers

4. Remove the panhard bracket and bolt the bar back directly to axle bracket.

5. Remove brake line extension and bolt directly to rear hub.

6. Remove axle bump stops

7. Shocks order stock height monroe shocks and install per directions

Below is RC instructions as needed

Thats why I want to get the air shocks so I can inflate them to near level height when driving, but at these shows you want to catch their eyes and ears and my system is loud enough to catch their ears, so now I just gotta make it catch their eyes lol.

Are you trying to get 6" of lift from an air shock?

Even if you can get a air shock to pump up that high your spring will probably fall out. Not to mention ride like ass.

Your not going to find an air shock that's going to give you 5 or 6 inches of lift. 3 inches maybe, but at 3 inches its going to ride like a rigid. I had air shocks on the back of my ZR2 in high school and the most I could get out of them was about 2.5 inches and to do that I had to jack the truck up by the receiver to take all the weight off the shocks while I maxed them out with air. I think your only option to get that much lift variation is to go with hydros. Maybe think about a different way to get attention. I vote for hot chicks in bikinis, they are guaranteed to get more attention than the broken rear suspension look.

The only real option is to buy actual air bags for such setup. I believe kelderman can build you want your wanting if they don't already have a kit.

Air shocks are not meant to used like this and will not last. If you want adjustable suspension then have someone fab you up a proper air suspension (air bags).
