Need help with 2 issues. Blend door actuator and parasitic battery drain

I kind of suspected that, that’s why I said to have it tested. Glad it was a simple fix.

There are many steps in checking for parasitic drain. You can just hook up a multimeter and hope for the best. There are many systems that need to go into a sleep mode. Usually takes about 15 minutes for the entire car to go into sleep. If you have a system that’s not going to sleep, it will cause a drain deepening how big the draw is. Best way is to use a amp meter around the negative cable.
Pop the hood, lock the latch, open the drivers door and lock the latch. Arm the alarm and wait. when all the systems go to sleep and you do register a draw, you can start pulling fuses one by one to see what makes the draw stop.

My 07 Tahoe had a back lift get open message that made it lock and unlock automatically all the time. Used to kill my battery a lot. I found pulling the fuse for the horn kept it from sounding and helped keep it from dying. Might start with the horn fuse if you don’t mind driving without it. My dads suburban has a Paris iris drain in the automatic seats. So that could also be it.

1. Blend door issue fixed


2. Battery is dying every day and I cant find out why. I have connected the battery to my multimeter and its 14 volts car on. Turning the car off it will either drain to 12.7v and stay there, or drain to around 10v and will need to be jumped. To check parasitic draw I've removed the negative cable, and connected my multimeter negative lead to the cable and ground lead to the battery peg. Im getting a reading of zero for Milliamps and amps.

take out radio fuse an leave it out till morning an see if it starts mine did An was the radio
