Need Help with flip down monitor

OK definitely not stock. I dropped it down and followed all the wires, it was spliced in everywhere. It actually has an old school limo antenna hidden above the headliner for regular tv! So I got power to the unit, hooked up a video feed from an external source, still no picture. The unit does power up but it looks like I need a remote to change the video source, which I don't have. Since the unit is aftermarket and wired everywhere I am taking everything out, including the miles of wires, and install a new unit. I will feel more comfortable running new wires in the vehicle too. Thanks for everyones input.

Problem with entertainment system in 2001 yukon slt

I have a 2001 yukon slt that has the rosen roof monitor and rosen vcr im getting a picture but no sound ive checked the wiring under the rear passenger seat and mafe sure they are connected i noticed on the little black box where the in put and out put is there is a place that says headphones and a s-video connector and they are connected i jus need some advice and what to check next i thought maybe that the video and audio wires would be hooked in to the input of the little black box but no luck and what is the headphone plug and how to use it and is the sound suppose to come through the radio speakers
