I just took an extension for a ratchet and pushed it forward.

I did pretty much the same thing. Just took a flat head and pushed it forward a little. My bulbs still hit the metal piece and I have had no ill effects from that yet. I figure if it does mess it up I will just order new bulbs, $15 and then completely remove the metal piece.

But, like I said, I have had the fogs turned on many times and them touching the metal hasn't messed anything up.

I got my DDM kit in the mail about a week ago, got under my 03 Tahoe and tried to plug the lights in, but the HID bulb was too long to fit into the fog light?

Is there a fix to this? How did you guys get the 880 HID Bulbs into the stock fog housing?

Thanks.

I had the same problem. The longer bulb pushes against the deflector slightly, but it's no big deal. I've had my DDM 35W HID fogs in for almost 5 months and havent had a problem with it.
