hey guys,
i have a 15 hoe and the other day while installing stereo equipment, i plugged a heat gun into the 110 outlet/power inverter on the back of the center console and when i turned it on it turned on for a split second and then died. the little green light is no longer on. it no longer works, tried plugging in a drop light and no luck. I pulled the fuse, i think i got the right one, and the fuse looks ok. any ideas on how to get it working again?

I’m only going by my home solar system as a reference but there should be a reset button on the inverter.

The average heat gun pulls a 1000+ watts and a factory inverter generally is 150 watts. If I remember correctly the inverter itself is under the dash to the left of the console. The fuse is #39 in fuse block on the passenger side.

The inverter in our '19 is good for 400 watts I think. Still not near enough. Divide your watts by 12 and you'll see that little heat gun pulls a lot of amps in the car DC circuit.

With a 50ft extension cord, he could just almost find a power source anywhere to borrow rather than hose up his ride. It know it sucks to be stuck without electricity and need a heat gun.
