Need help with tranny fittage

Hi I've got a 1998 silverado 1500 with a bad motor and a 1997 tahoe withave a bad tranny, can I swap the tranny out of the 98 truck into the 97 tahoe? Thanks in advance

SHOULD be a direct swap.

verify that converter size and bell housing first. between the two they might be different units but is adaptable.
