I was just coming home from work in my 07 Tahoe LT. I was cruising and seen a cop. I looked down at my gauge cluster to see how fast I was going. Right after that my temperature went from 210 to 160 and on my DIC I seen Engine Hot / A/C Turned Off. What could be the cause of this??

If its a failed shorted temp sensor it should have thrown a code. I think there is a code because it came up on the dic. If no code and truck runs fine could be a stepper motor in the cluster. Can you get your hands on a code reader?

A pep boys or autozone most large parts stores will pull the code for free in case the dealer is going to charge you.
