I have a 2003 Tahoe Z71 4X4 and I'm considering doing the lower half in a bed liner Rhino Liner type paint. I want to try and protect the paint from any further "Colorado Pin-Striping" when in the brush off road.

My thing is I can't decide if I want to do a straight line across the lower portion even with trim line even at the fender flairs. OR, do I want to also incorporate the fender flairs as well. I made two (amateur) renderings to show the ideas. Which do you guys think looks better? Straight or Flairs?

I think incorporating the fender flairs would make it look like a more professional paint job. Either way would look good, but I'd definitely include the flairs

Definitely do the flares... it just looks weird if you cut it off

bed liner paints sucks. Have it done with the real stuff.

Oh, I'm totally planning on having it done by the pros. Like Linex or Rhinoliner. I'm not going to use the roll on stuff.

That's what I'm leaning towards as well. Thanks for the input.

Something you may want to consider, since you're having it done... rhino liner looks like crap IMO. Linex is about the best looking out there. They can also color match it, so that you wouldn't be able to see it as obviously, but would still get the protection you're after. It's about $250 extra (per the shop local to me), but could be well worth it.

Thanks. The shop near me does Linex, so that's probably what I'll end up with.

I hadn't thought of Color Matching. I like the idea of black. Maybe I should also ask if people think black or color matched would be better.

I think either would look good. If you didn't have black wheels and colormatched door handles, I'd definitely say colormatched linex.
