Need Recommendations

Ok so I am looking at 2 different Tahoe and Yukon for sale.

The Tahoe Z71 is a 2005 with 158000 miles on it with new tires and looks like it was taken care of very well.

The Yukon is a 2003 SLT with 125 miles, tires look pretty good as well as the overall body does.

I have not seen both of them yet but I was wanting something that has lower miles close to 120k, but the Tahoe z71 looks like it is in crazy good condition. Of course you never know until your there right? The links are below for them, it is buy here pay here but I am only doing this to build up my credit history since I am still pretty young and need to start building my credit.

If you had the choice and being everything was ok with each of them which one would you recommend?

I'm leaning toward the Z71, it just looks cleaner. Higher miles is a little tough though.

If you can get some service verifications or records on the Tahoe, then 150+ probably is not a big deal. It looks real nice.

I will pull a Carfax for them both. And if I can I will post it here in a little while.

For the Yukon it is around $14k and the Tahoe is $13990. With the Yukon I found on their site a sale for it going for $11k but am not sure they will honor that since it is a BHPH dealer.

I deff know that for sure. But it is BHPH so its kinda to be expected. I am thinking about maybe waiting just to buy one out right one day with that low milage but right now I am kind of a spot where I need to build up my credit.

Do you need 4WD? If not, i wouldn't go for the Z71, more stuff to wear and break. I bought my 2005 GMC Yukon SLT 2WD for less than 7 grand including new license plates, tax, etc. From a dealer at the end of this March, those prices are almost double. And it is super clean also. Expect to find some little problems, but this forum can help you fix lots of little things yourself cheaply.

But I also don't see over paying for a vehicle to do it.
You could build credit Much faster by buying a vehicle out right and then opening a major gas and credit card.

Spend and pay off only 30% of your limit each month will do far more for your credit then a over priced vehicle will.
If the 30% isn't high enough, maintain the cards until you can get your limit raised high enough so that 30% is actually usable for toys.

True. That does make a lot of sense and I will deff take that to mind.
