Need some help from you guys

My nephew has a 1992 Extended cab P/U, and when we put the key into the ignition and take it out there's a part up by the foot of the passenger side that clicks. It's a click click click click click click click click click click click for about 10 seconds and then it stops. I think it's a valve operated by recirc button, and it clicks upon start-up and exit. I know where the part it is, I can see it and I can access it (sort of). I just need to know what it's called to I can help him find another one. Again, it's down in the passenger front floorboard area, attached to all the left bottom area on the right side heater/ac components.

Looking at it from the side there's a small silver rod that sticks out slightly.
