need some help/tips

currently i have 2 12 inch fusion subs hooked up to a spl 1600w amp, my friend recently upgraded his system and gave me his old 12's i am wondering if i could wire them straight to my amp and have both sets working or would i have to get another amp for the second set?

It all depends on the impedence of all the subs. Wired to a safe ohm load you can use 4 on one amp. Hell. Rockford fosgate has like 64 subs wired to one amp.

yeah i need to find a new amp because, i hooked them up today and they worked for a few minutes as i was cleaning my tools turned it off turned my car back on to go somewhere and they cut off so i was messing with wires and stuff tryign to figure it out and i dont get any power to my amp/power cap so yeah....
