Need tires. What size???

I have a 99 Tahoe 4x4 and 03 Tahoe 4x4. Both are in need of tires and I would like to go up a size from stock. They both have 265x70x16 on them right now. My 03 looks to have a little more clearance room than my 99. Can I run 285x75x16's or should I just stick with 265x75x16's? Will my 03 allow bigger tires than my 99?

i run 285/70/17 on my 97 2 door, they only rub at full hard crank and they look way better than my 265/70/17 winter tires...
