I just bought a 2010 Denali. It appears the previous owner chopped off the resonator at the rear. It is too loud for my liking and I would like to replace it with stock, or something even more quiet, by having it welded on. However, I can't seem to find anything on the web. Any help to where I could purchase this would be awesome. Thanks.

Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure you can't just buy the resonator separate from the entire exhaust system including the muffler ... it's GM part number 20757529.

Even though I have removed mine and replaced it with tips, this is the reason I'm keeping it in the attic stored away for when I sell the truck.

However, do keep in mind that the 6.2 trucks are pretty loud even with the resonator on, having taken mine off I can tell you that the difference in volume and tone is marginal at best. Best way forward is to drive a Denali or Escalade with the resonator on to be sure that you want to spend the money to get one.

Or perhaps someone here has chopped theirs off and doesn't mind selling it to you.

Welcome to TYF.

If you want quiet you could always look into a Billy Goat exhaust system.
