I'm running a JLw7 12 in JL's ** box on a JL 1000/1 and I 2nd putting 1000rms to it. the ** box is ported and 600rms would make it sound underpowered. My setup is just clean and loud sound. Jus speaking from experience not magazine racing or anything. Its enough to shake the Hoe and DTP if you know what I mean. prob with JL is its $1 a watt lol.

well the specs I qouted were for the 12" solarbaric L7 not JL w7.

Have you tested the Warhorse, I bet money you have not.

Over 10K at 14v....and about 98% efficient, find an amp that does that power, that efficient. It has been tested to do so, we're not talking MAX power...efficiency.

I know the owner of Cactus and I know Rusty, so I do know a little about the amps and speakers you speak of.

There's no reason to bash any other persons ideas and or products on this site.

i know someone that was testing the warhorse on 2 cactus 18s and yea it was a beast but not worth $3500
he took it out and put a hiphonics xxv-maximus and gain .3db
the Stetsom 14k2d he was .8db louder than the warhorse
soundstream xxx15k was .5db louder
with some huge 20,000watt rms amp it was 1.1db louder

sorry i've never been and never will care for the regular brands we see everyday... jl, kicker, most rockford etc...

they're loud and rather clear with the c10004 on them. i do have a good eq too which helps them out quite a bit.
my other amp they didnt sound to good, they were over extravagant in the mids and i would gear ear fatigue easy.
when i first put them in i was using my old mb quart Q crossovers but now im running them active.
im gonna add another pair or 2 in the truck perhaps... but at the same time i lost midbass vs my old comps so i may add shallow mount 8s in the front doors.. i was actually looking at some kickers but will probably end up with ED e3.8's in the front doors with a selenium and my crescendo tweets. gotta add some more second skin in my front doors, rear doors are good.

The Hifonics is two amps in one board, not a single amp. And I'd also like to look at the SS and Stetsom boards.

I'll get all that info for you momentarly, i just gotta give my dude a call.
but when i asked him about the kicker's efficiency he said 94% at 4ohm 88% at 2ohm. he said with 3 300amp alts and 2 batcap 8400's he said it wouldnt handle 1ohm for my more than a few minutes at a time

the stetsoms are close to the same being 97% at 4ohm, 87@ 2ohm and 83 at 1ohm which is flat out amazing imo.

i got to actually see the kicker for my self today and must admit its a ******* beast. i mean that damn think has 3 1/0 inputs...
the stetsom i have on the way has dual but damn... triple, thats bananas

the 20,000 watt amp is another Brazilian company called Taramps

o the stetsom and SS are both single boards unlike the hifonics.
i know where i can find some internals of them, stand by and when mine gets here friday-saturday i'll take a pic of mine

the WH was not intended to play at 4 or 1 ohm, rather it was designed for 2 ohm. The SS and Stetsom max at 1 ohm. SS does just around 9K at 2 ohm.
Our demo van has 12 L7 15's and two WH, and it's stupid......

damn i wanna see, wish i could hear it but im in atlanta. but i wonder how that van would be with 2 14K2's... at 2ohm and 14.4 you'll get 12k rms from it... 1ohm its 17k rms
stetsom and soundigital have amps that are designed for 2ohm as well.. most of them actually but i have the 1ohm version coming
