Hello everyone I just bought an 02 yukon XL with 136000 miles on it and I noticed that the automatic temperature control doesn't work for the front, it works for the rear just fine and everything else works as it should but no matter where I set the temperature knob at it just keeps going like it's on max ac, I don't have dual temperature zones in the front so hopefully I can avoid some of the other issues I've been reading about. The rear when set on auto will slow down the blower oncertain it gets close to the set temperature but no matter what I set the front temperature to it will never slow down. I have been a mechanic for several years but I haven't ever owned a yukon before, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

The controller probably does need replacing, use your advanced scan tool to looks for codes in the HVAC system. See SeriousCTBuyer on ebay and or get a subscription over at AllDataDIY for the shop manual for your truck. Welcome Isaiah!

Have you tried the reset procedure? I started a thread on it in the Tech section. If that doesn't work then it's probably the controller.

Could you please post this for good measure and search functionality? Im 99% sure this is not my issue but knowing and proceding with the reset procedure could help me check some boxes and move forward. Thanks~
