I would have put $5,000 more into the initial selection and purchase price

anyway.... so as to have gotten the DVD, Navigation and sunroof.

Pretty good deal! I just picked mine up to, I've got Gibson exhaust (sounds great, not very loud) and a K&N CAI. it does not throw any codes and sounds great! I would suggest doing LED tail lights, LED interior/reverse/puddle lamps, possibly HIDs, if you have the factory 20s then keep em and throw some Nitto Trail Grapplers on them (looks GREAT!) I was going to do that, but I found a killer deal on a 2wd so I am trying the lowering thing for the first time.

tint is getting done tomorrow after work, along with blacking out the grille, tinting tails, and removing side steps. Whats CK 375?
So you are blacking out the factory grille? So I am assuming it had the LTZ grille on it (since the factory LT grille is already black)? How are you blacking out the tails? B.G. is currently blacking my LED tails out (professional paint work) I would suggest it, only $100 (considerably less than the body shop wanted) and looks MUCH better than Nightshade which is what most people do. Just so you are aware I am pretty sure you can see the, FUGLY, frame when you take the side steps off. That's why I haven't removed mine.

What up Dan :Handshake: Welcome aboard. I'm with Serge on this one, lets welcome the homie first. :insane: We just bombarded him with a bunch of upgrades. lol. Check it out Dan, first thing first, DASHBOARD, this babies have a tendency to crack in 2 places, 1. next to the airbag, 2. behind the gauge cluster. So be on top of that. Make sure that you still have some coverage on the warranty. That is probably the biggest complaint everybody has regarding the new hoes, I know it happened to me. Aside from that, you can look at the forums to see what else there is. Once again welcome aboard, and keep on hoeing

Just got the truck tonight, loving it so far. As far as being overwhelmed with mods, no such thing haha. I have been modding trucks since I was 15, just traded in my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had a 360ci cam, heads, full exhaust, tune, lift, etc.

As far as the suggestions on K&N the only objection that I have with them is the oiled filter. Not a big fan of putting oil into the top end of the motor. I know it isn't an issue as long as the filter is properly oiled, but just saying. And you cannot beat the sound of an intake. Looking into the AFE

So far first mod is at 4:45 tomorrow (get out of work at 4:30), front window tint. After that it will be blacked out tails, de-badge, de-clad, remove side steps, and black out grille/emblems. As far as the BB tune goes, the truck is GM certified with the 12mo 12,000 warranty and that would screw me over. So for mods I need stuff that does not mess with my warranty, at least for the next 12 months. I figure exhaust and intake are safe (checked with my dealership/mechanic) other than that for performance mods it gets iffy.

As far as suspension, I am not lowering the truck. Chicago winters are not really suitable for that. I will be getting a leveling kit, (installed at dealer at cost) so that I dont have to worry about warranty with that.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome. One of the better ones I have gotten from a forum in the past years. If yall have any suggestions on mods or what I should look out for it is much appreciated.

Dan

For the tails I am having a professional painter do it for $100... here is an example of his work.

When I am 58 with disposable income and get my AARP card I will keep that in mind.... Thanks

Dan -- I'd reconsider removing the side steps. I've seen it look good on a couple (lifted) trucks here, but mostly I don't like the look on these trucks. The frame becomes visible, and the air dam, rear fascia, and rocker panels don't line up. Also, removing them will allow a lot more road debris to be kicked up on the truck.

Might want to consider these things if you haven't already.

Same thing I said! :)

Good idea actually painting the tails! Nightshade looks like CRAP!
