Today (2/24/15) while in the GMC store, the service advisor told me about a new issue. Apparently, if you shut off your vehicle while in Auto or 4 hi or 4 lo, and the temperature drops to a temp below freezing, the transfer case may become "stuck" in 4 wheel drive. Until a solution is found, we are to put the vehicle in 2 wheel drive when shutting off vehicle.
Does anyone have more info about this issue?

We were advised to return them to 2wd before shutoff a while ago, but not because of the temperature. They're is a major issue with our 4wd systems...

My steering gets stiff when cold, service manager at local shop told me that its due to GM getting rid of power steering fluid and having electric motor for steering.

Also some condensation gets build up in the headlight when its very cold. We are getting about -15 F here lately in Erie, PA

I've left mine in 4WD AUTO all the time and can switch to 2WD on cold start without issue.

I do have minor bothersome single click noise when i accelerate on cold start, once warms up it goes away, took it to dealer and they've tightened the exhaust bolt stating that's probably what it was, but then problem didn't go away.

Does your truck "bang" into 4wd? My new 2015 seems to make a lot of noise as it switches. More so into 4L. I insured to shift in Neutral and rolling 1-2 mph as manual states and it just seems loud. Might be normal, I just don't know. Also, does 4L fell like slack or very jerky in the drivetrain?
Thanks
