Even less relevant IMO since you have...... Your keys! The app like I stated is a great set of ... Call em..... E-spares.

Not at all as the remote start feature can be used at any range where as the key is a limited range.

But why worry about it? And is it really smart to be that far away from ride and have a need to start it from say.. Tasmania?

Hmmm... I guess being inside a restaurant, mall, etc. is the same as being in Tasmania? It also give you a conformation that it is started which the remote is not capable. I am sorry if those reasons do sound reasonable but not being able to input data onto a touch screen does.

:insane:

by point is, what does all this have to do with "laggy" esp when an instant response is of low functional value whether you're in tasmania or inside the mall while truck is sitting in the parking garage? like i stated, it's a great e-spare. it shouldn't be used in place of a real set of keys. sorry if i'm misreading.

the irony here is, i love using the app because i dislike the laggy nav screen when inputting numbers and letters! LOL

the remote lock/unlock/start functionality was designed to be used as a back-up as seen in their very own adverts on TV anyways. nothing today replaces the keys. i hope in the next gen they use smart keys. it's on my other car and it's quite convenient to approach car, get in and press the start button.

I thought in the commercial it showed them as more instant. The first time I used the app I did the remote start, waited a few seconds and nothing, so I canceled the remote start and then did the unlock part, at that point the truck started, shut off and unlocked the door all in a matter of seconds...

if real life results reflected what's actually being advertised on 30-second TV spots, all dudes would have 8 packs, a perfect hairline, and 30% better mpg across the board.

I was duped and do not have very good patience, I did expect it to be quite as fast but also not take as long (that's what she said) is it did.
