About time for a new battery. Just trying to get an idea what your expirience is for a good replacement. I'm sure if I ask 20 people I will have 20 different opinions but is there any one battery that most lean towards. With all the electronics these things have they put a higher than most demand on batteries especially in cold weather. Any tips greatly appreciated

The Maxx battery from walmart is one of the best. What led me to try them years ago was an article i read at that time explaining they were made by Johnstone industries? one of the larger battery manufactures. The big plus is the high turnover rate at walmart ensuring a newer battery each time. they have a date stamp on them. That same article explained the Costco Kirkland battery and Max walmart battery were two of the top batteries for those reasons. They have a good warranty and keep your info on record. I had an issue only one time and I was out of state. They scanned my battery and warrantied it on the spot. I have alot of cars and only run The Maxx. I average 6 years on most all my cars batteries. Yes, I do use battery tenders also.

Thanks for your input. I never even gave Walmart batteries a thought.

I just bought a DieHard Platinum AGM from AAP. It was around $210 with tax. I have nothing impressive to report on so far -- it works. The warranty is only 3-year, and weirdly enough the wet cell (non-AGM) DH Platinum battery that was cheaper was 4-year.

Bosch aka Champion AGM battery from Pep Boys, yup, Pep Boys. Made in A USA factory and 100% leak proof. 4 year nationwide eplacement warranty and pro rata afterwards.

Usually 25% off. Pep Boys lost the licensing agreement w/ Bosch and slapped Champion on the label. Unmatched CCA and almost immune to complete run outs down to dead. It’s the most tolerant to heat / cold so all those electronics are protected.

My truck has an ACDelco Silver series, a 48PS with a 30 month warranty, that is now 51 months old and runs as good as new down here in Florida. It meets or exceeds the minimum specifications for a battery for our trucks and doesn't weigh a ton either.

Project Farm on YouTube ran a great battery test that showed the Walmart batteries to be among the best, we have them in our other vehicles with no complaints. I like stock stuff in mine whenever possible if for no other reason than just because.

Anyone have any expirience with the Optima battery. Just wondering if they are worth the high price?
