New cowl hood, mesh inserts, engine dressups

So finally got a hood, found a cowl off CL for $60!!! pretty much stole it off the guy!!LOL. Wanted the HD, but watcha gonna do for that price, ya know. Just got it painted last week, actually quite happy with it.


Also did some mesh inserts in the bumper, either wanna do the same for the grill, or get billet for the bumper, until I get SS bumper.

Made some custom E-fans and brackets, just gotta install when I get a second, got all the wiring done yesterday.


And did some engine touch ups. Whited plastics, just got brake reservoir painted, gotta do coolant reservior now, but most is white, and did chrome looming,still gotta do more!!!!


Haven't been on in awhile, kids been real sick, so probably won't be on for another while, got alot going on. But, appreciate everyones advice, input, and knowledge I have recieved from everyone on this site. Glad to be apart of a site of peeps who care as much about there ride as I do mine. Hope to be back on soon with some new mods to show, and get some help, and advice I need on my ride from everyone. Thanks everyone

Nice find on the hood! Looks like it might need a little fit adjustment in the back by the cowl? No matter how nice of a car or a paint job, if you don't have the body panels/doors/hood lined up, it cheapens it 100%.

When I was doing the body work on my Mustang I spent dozens and dozens of hours just making sure the panels fit together correctly.

Big time steal on the hood and it looks great! My only advice with the whole theme you have going on is to pick either chrome/white or black/white. I think the black bumper lights and tail lights look a little out of place with the chrome wheels and chrome mesh, etc. The bumper lights more so than the tails. I would either get clear bumper lights and lighter LED tails or black out more on the exterior like the wheels, mesh, etc. Either way it's come a long way and looks good.

As far as the fitment, totally right about making it look off, but when you don't got the time to fix, whatcha gonna do ya know. It WILL get fixed tho, forget about it.

Ya Effeckt your right. I do have clear front lights, and clear rear lights. May put the fronts back on, but the backs look SUPER cheesy, IMO. Too soccer mom!!!! Everyone has em, even if they don't do anything else to there ride.

It's not done by far, so... And with everything going on right now, any, and everything I may have had planned is really put on hold right now soooo....

I totally agree with you on the clear tails. They are overly played out for sure. I was thinking something more along the lines of clear bumper lights and maybe red LED tails or something. Maybe something like this. Although if you did go clear. I think these might not look too bad.
