Hello all I am The New Guy! I just picked up my 04 Denali (51000 miles on it) So far so good. A couple odd and ends need to be addressed before I'm really satisfied.
-Slight rip in the drivers side leather. (having repaired this week)
-New tires. (any recommendations for something aggressive that won't be a rough ride?)
-Some scratches on the drivers side by and on the fuel door. (any recommendations on anything? I tried Turtle Wax Color Magic and that did squat!)
-Go Rhino Dominator Hitch Step ordered and will do a small grill guard shortly.

Big difference from my 98 Durango :)

Thanks guys. It doesnt look like too much work to clean it up...
It came with custom Denali mats, aftermarket blacked out tail lights, 3rd break light is blacked out except for the lettering Denali.

I'd love to get rid of te scratches on the side... Any ideas? or products?

Congrats! If I wouldn't have gotten my Escalade a Denali was next on my list.

I'm running Nitto Crosstek on my Esalade and I really like the ride. I don't know how they do on snow yet but they seem like nice aggressive street tires. Not noisy either. It's also a 60K mile tire.

If the scratches aren't deep try some rubbing compound. If the scratches are only on the clear-coat then it should take care of the scratches. I just did this two weeks ago on my Escalade to take care of some rub marks and you can't see a trace they were ever there.

If the scratches go into the paint and you have patience some dupli-color in a paint pen will do the trick. Fill the scratch, building the paint up above the level of the surrounding paint over several coats allowing to dry between coats. Lightly wet sand the new paint to the level of the original paint and finally some rubbing compound to blend it in. I used a new pencil (eraser end) to sand the small area.

I've done this in the past on my 1 week old new black Trans Am. I spent probably about 6 hours on it over a week period and you had to go out of your way to find the repair. I was very happy with the results. It was also scared down to the metal so it was quite a bit of coating and re-coating to build up the paint.

Thanks for the welcomes and the recommendations.
I know I have to get some tires before winter. Those Nittos look nice.
As for the touch up... I may just take it to a shop and see what sort of price they give.
This week I want to get the leather seat fixed before my butt does more damage.
