BBP tune a must!

I looked at their website earlier today. I am a bit confused as to the process. They send you a cable. You drive some. You send the cable back. They send you a tune? How does this actually work and what is the real cost?

The AutoCal is a handheld programmer and plugs into the diagnostic port below the steering wheel. It programs the ecu AND the Tcm which is the biggest benefit for these lethargic transmissions.

just got a 2009 Yukon Denali and am in CA
Can't seem to find any CA legal CAIs, any recommendations, or am I SOL?
