Hey all,

I'm new around here and stumbled across this place after some GoogleFU in doing some research on 07' Yukon XL Denalis.

We're (my wife and I) are looking to upgrade the family hauler, which is currently a 03' Honda Odyssey EX-L that we've had for close to 8 years.

We have 4 kids, and while the mini-van is pretty useful, we're kind of tired of it. Plus the Suburban/Yukon XLs have more usable space behind the third throw, which is more important to us, since we're always loaded up.

The Denali has all the features we want/like, plus it has the 6.2L, which appeals to me as a car guy. My 05' Ram SRT-10 put a rod through the block last year and while it was a terrible choice as a family vehicle, it could haul everyone and have a blast at the same time, so the 6.2L, somewhat scratches that itch.

The hard part is the budget and it seems that most Denalis have held on pretty good to their value over all and finding one with less than 100K miles, is a struggle. We do a good bit of driving, so I want to make sure we whatever we buy has some life left in it.

Anyways, I look forward to poking around here and learning what I can.

Thanks!

I'm new to the Denali world myself and I am in the same boat. With 4 kids it satisfies my seating needs and the power and sound satisfies my gearhead needs (previous mustang guy). I'm totally happy but it was tough shopping. I decided on an 11 certified with 72K miles that I bought for 33,999. It was at the top of my budget but I felt more comfortable getting one with the bumper to bumper warranty and maintenance plan since i was entering an unfamiliar world. Down side so far is I've had for a little over a month and needed to replace rear hatch struts ($178) and they said my rotors are close to needing a resurface. With all the gadgets and power everything you can probably expect a few items like that to go wrong the older you buy. Good luck!
