Well lets start it off saying I have a 97 tahoe 2 door with every common problem under the sun..
And now I'm looking to replace the front diff, rear axle and manual t-case on my truck..
I have a buddy of mine holding the front diff, 14 bolt rear axle, manual t-case and driveshafts out of a 95 cheyanne heavy half ton..
What kind of modifications would I have to do ?? Or would it mainly be straight forward bolt on..

Also it should have a posi rear and front right ??
What type of gear ratios do they have?? 3.73 or 4.10, because he has no clue of the gear ratios..

Drive shaft length mods will likely be needed. To find out the gear ratios that he has had in the truck originally look at the build options sticker in the glove box and look for any that start with the letter g. they can range from 3.42 to 4.56 depending on it build design. The tahoes had a 3.42 or 3.73 option from the factory.

Is there anyway by counting teeth or something because its coming out of a wrecker and it doesn't have that info..
So it should just be a straight forward bolt on right ??

You can count teeth or look for a tag on the cover somewhere. I think it was a bolt-on but something tells me I am forgetting something. I can't check right now unfortunately.
