looks really good never really thought about stacking the boards like that. almost seems like a waist of wood though when you don't have use for the inside of the ring, especially for the size of that box. Looks like a good plan, I will have to look into doing this for my build.

If I remember the sheets of wood are around 20$ each and I bet you could get 4-5 rings out of it so it may be doable for a cheaper way to get a box like this if you have the time and tools to build something like this.

Never Seen or heard of "stacking" guess I'm just out of the loop. Looks pretty damn good.

How do you like the sound? I'd drive to Kentucky to get this done. What shop was it?
Do you think a 12'' would fit using the same method?

VERY Nice... Ive been thinking of fiberglassing a box into that area.
The stacking part could be used for the curve and then just flat boards for the top, back and bottom to save on cost. Fiberglass the side near the car to get all of the contours. I used a similar method in my Dodge Ram:

Not sure if a 12 will work but it sounds good Here is his Facebook page, he does a lot with motorcycles, lighting etc.

You can scroll down and see more details about how he did my truck on his page.

About $1200

 $1200 that's a lot for your buddy to charge... My whole Cpillar wall in my truck only cost $1500... I guess it matters where you live. Here in Michigan that would cost you about $300 for Altimate automotive... It does look great though;)
