Hello all. Just picked up my second Yukon, in fact my second black SLT. I missed having the room and versitility of my old Yukon, which I sold a couple of years ago. Spent a month searching for the right NNBS truck, and reading this forum while I searched. Finally found this one last Friday, every option and only 31,600 miles.

I'm loving my 2008, such a great drive, a real luxury barge. Fully loaded, and a few mods came with it. While I don't personally like all the chrome of the giant factory headlights on the front of a dark colored Yukon, and do like the black look of the lights that came on it, these cheap aftermaket headlights have to go, they suck. I do love that it came with a Flowmaster system already on it, the sound is excellent. I already have a Costar Bluestar II on the way for Bluetooth. Vacation next week to OC MD with the girlfriend and her two kids, this is going to make the drive easy.

I am also a VW guy, and have spent countless hours and thousands of posts on the VW forums, looking forward to the same help and fun on this forum.

Here's the first picture, taken with my phone as I bought it:

Hi Amber, Thanks! And my second Yukon, but 18 of my 26 vehicles have been GM's over the years.

You may not want to hear my question, but what is the deal with the cracked dashes? Mine has a crack at the corner of the passenger airbag, and from what I have already learned, this is a huge and commmon problem, and there are theards full of upset customers. I never had an issue like this with my 1999, and I sold that with over 177,000 miles on it. I am rather disappointed to see this is a common problem, and I am now waiting for the IP shroud to crack next, as it seems it will. Is there anything that GMC is doing for owners?

Here is the thread in case you haven't seen it yet, 22 pages long.....http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3483
