Hello everyone,

I am new here and just joined because I bought a 1995 GMC Yukon GT 5.7L TBI. I Come from a long lineage of General Motors vehicles since I was a kid.

Right after high school I went on to a career at a large GMC Light Duty / Medium Duty dealer. I started as a Porter and Retired as a Parts Manager after 9 years.

I miss my roots and buying this 95 Yukon GT brings me right back to them. I used to drool on these in the showroom...now I have my very own.

I own the 3 book dealer service manual set and have a 95 c/k truck dealer parts catalog on the way from an old coworker so I should be set diagnose wise. But there are a few quirkey things going on with it.

You're not kidding, it is such a great feeling. It does gets kind of weird though when I say to friends and family that I finally got a truck off my always wanted list and they go nuts thinking it's a 2015 GMC Sierra 4dr lol. I say nope...it's a 95 Yukon and then I get the weird looks. Especially when I delve into TBI vs EFI.

When people give you those funny looks just tell them I didn't have to take a second mortgage on my dwelling to get this truck.
