Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm planning on buying a 07+ summit white Tahoe soon. I have always been a car guy so the SUV scene is pretty new to me. Right now, I own a 2003 350z that I've had for 7 years but will be selling it to get the tahoe. I really need a more practical car (NOT a 2 seater) at this point in my life but cant afford both cars.

NOW, I bought my 03 Z as a first year model and had quite a few problems. I've been through 4 transmissions, 2nd engine, had the audio system replaced, lots of TSB's and so on. All covered under the Nissan warranty but was sure a PITA.

I dont want to go through that again and am wondering if people are having the same deal with the 07's, being its the first year of the new body style.

Is it worth getting an 08' over an 07'?

Or maybe just get an 07' with a good warranty?

My name's Jordan btw and I'm sure I'll be an active member here just as I was on all my 350z forums :driver: I'm sure the mod bug will bite me with this car as it did with my z aswell :)

If you know anyone interested in buying a Z, send them my way!

Some pictures of my z:

dont know much about the Z but I can say this...the 5.3 in most NNBS tahoes/yukons have been around for a while, same with the trans.

personally, i have an 08 but i dont think those with 07 have encountered more problems than anyone else. Hopefully some one with an 07 can chime in.

welcome to the forum!

My 07 Yukon XL is as strong as the day I got it. Nothing major, just some minor cosmetic stuff that the dealership always took care of. If it's a good deal and it checks out all way round the jump on it and welcome to the forum.

The only factory differences between an 07 and 08 are the addition of FlexFuel capabilities and minor interior changes.

Welcome along. The 07 model will have a bit more minor issues than the 08, but if the price is right, an 07 is fine, just get a good certified used car or GMPP warranty if possible.
Also SteveK is right Sophomore, my Tahoe was built in March 2007 and I have FlexFuel.
