I tapped into my reverse wire on my trailer plug (stock). I have an alpine and it will automatically flip to the camera when in reverse.
As far as upgrades go, alpine (i am a alpine fan) makes a mini amp along with other manufactures that will fit behind the glove box or even down under the cup holder that will allow you to tap into the stock speaker wire. You should see the harness under the cup holder for the amp, pull up a wire diagram and cut/splice the wires needed for the door speakers and BAM you're done (this will take the bose amp out of the picture).

FYI there's 2 Bose systems- the standard and the "Lux" or deluxe system. The Denalis have the Lux amp and system with 8 satellite speakers and sub. It's completely different than the standard system, way more powerful and sounds pretty good with the possible exception of the bass. I wouldn't bypass your Lux amp. There's ways to upgrade the sub if you want to do that, and if you want better door speakers, check out this thread. Bose needs 2 ohm speakers and there's only a few available. http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/door-speakers-with-no-amp-waste-of-time.78888/
I ended up replacing my sub with an MTX Thunderform enclosure and running it off a Soundstream nano amp and leaving the Lux amp to run the satellites. It sounds really good. But yes, start with the HU. That's what I did and then kept upgrading! The Clarion should have instructions on installing the camera, and yes you should wire it to the reverse light so it comes on automatically.

I got this far I got it in that actually was the hardest part making it fit with all the wires. I had to take a break one night and cut all the wires and resolder them to take out a lot of slack even then it was still a pretty tight fit took me about an hour alone just moving wires all around to get it all to fit. My backup camera isn't working the last piece I needed came today in the mail right as I put the last piece of molding back on maybe tomorrow

Looks good man! That's exactly what my clarion unit looks like to haha.
I only messed with it for a little bit. But I was having trouble with my Bluetooth and getting my phone to connect and play Pandora. Did you have any issues with this

Yeah the first time I connected my phone two weeks ago it was off. I think I I hit pair on the stereo and my phone in discover mode @ the same time and it paired fine. Can't help with the Pandora I've never used Pandora. But the phone streams music that's on it with no problems.

Good job! I left my wires long and tucked the different modules way back in the empty spaces behind the dash. There does end up being a lot of shit.

For real I could've been done a long time ago but spent 30 minutes looking for my velcro. Never did find it.
