I'm not sure if I want to go HID as I am hoping to sell the truck ASAP. However, perhaps the HID's will make the truck more attractive for sale? Any thoughts on this?
I've also read that Silverstar Ultra's are the way to go with bulb replacement... So do you think I should go with the bulbs, or the whole HID kit, despite the fact that I'm looking to sell...?
How hard is the HID install? Also I hear that you need to install a relay?

Installing hids are VERY simple and take 5-10mins. If you can change a bulb you can install hids. In most cases the hids are the same or just slightly more expensive then reg bulbs. Hids are plug and play. With the Relay its not any harder as the only extra step it to attach it to your battery.

My 2 cents.... Go with hids

Interesting.. Thanks for the input.. So, HIDs it is.. Now, do we still buy from DDMTuning.com? What is it? The 35 watt kit? Do I need to buy bulbs too? Or are they included? Anyone have a part number for me?

If you are going DDM go eBay. They sell them there with out the crazy expensive shipping. Go the 55 watt route...

DDM 35 watt kit, comes with ballasts, harnesses and bulbs (everything you need). Mounting the ballasts is the difficult part, but they sell brackets now which I would get (didn't when I ordered them). Don't touch the bulb, and make sure to aim your headlights afterwards against a wall or garage door (just need a phillips head screwdriver).

I can't seem to find DDMTuning on ebay...? I searched for them, even 35 watt hid kits, and have not seen their products.. Of course they could be rebranded.. But, having trouble.. I might just go direct..
Next question is.. Should I just go 35k for low, and 55w for high? Would I need (1) or (2) wiring harnesses?

Thanks again guys.. I'm kind of excited to do this mod...!

EDIT:
I went the 55w route, as I have those smoked lenses on my truck, which I'm sure impede on light emission... Went direct with them, too, and shipping is $17... Hopefully they send a fast boat from China.. ;c)

Sorry, I got my letter wrong. VVME is what I have. ebay name "smart_tattoo". I bought my hi/low/fogs from them. It is VVME, the receipt even says VVME on it. I have had mine since about July. No problems what so ever. They also have a warranty. The ballasts have brackets as well.

If it isn't too late, I wouldn't go with the HID for your highs. They are not meant to be flashed on and off, and take a bit to warm up to full brightness, so you will lose some functionality with being able to flash people. If you drive in the country with brights on a lot, then go with HID's in the highs, but if you don't use them often or just to flash people, I would stick with stock as they will be much more effective.

Thanks for the input guys.. I do use my brights a decent amount, but I don't really flash people... So, I'm thinking of just going low beams with the 55w setup... Now, I'm feeling like I should have went with these:

But, they are of course "the Ebay special".. I read somewhere that stock reflectors weren't meant to have HID in them..
