don't go 55s on the lows, you don't have the proper housings and 55w is going to be more blinding than 35w

IMO don't worry about HIDs, just sell the thing

Thanks for the input guys.. I do use my brights a decent amount, but I don't really flash people... So, I'm thinking of just going low beams with the 55w setup... Now, I'm feeling like I should have went with these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Slim-6000k-...:1999|Model:Tahoe&hash=item2a210cf67c&vxp=mtr

But, they are of course "the Ebay special".. I read somewhere that stock reflectors weren't meant to have HID in them..

they work fine I have hids and have no problems you can go with the 55w no problem
And people will tell you that you can't but its really up to you and I recommend them!!

Sorry but I didn't read anything above...Just a little and my personal opinion is: Do not add them in hopes of adding resale. Just not worth it. Add them to your new truck though!

Thanks all for the valid input.. I wasn't thinking of it in terms of adding resale, so much as being able to see out of them... The guy before me painted them so the lens looks smoked..
