Hey guys, i just traded the wife's car in for a 2005 Yukon, white, cloth, 65,000 miles, nothing fancy, but i love it already... rides sooo smooth and it's everything that we were looking for...

my question is, it's got a ghetto aftermarket grille on it that was not installed correctly and unfortunatly they cut up the factory one to make this one work... i love the look of the factory GMC grilles maybe with a billet insert, but where is the best place and best price to get a factory grille shell... i've found some on ebay for about 90 bucks shipped, is that a fair price? or since i'm going to put a billet insert in it, is that the way to go?

thanks in advance and i look foward to getting to know you guys on here...

I have always like the denali (honeycome) grill, But with the hack job it sounds like the last owner did of putting the current grill in, im not sure how you would install it.

But welcome to the forum.

pictures of what you are working with?

I've seen some really nice 4mm billet grills on Yukons...

Shoot, I'd advertise it on CL :
"00-06 YUKON BILLET GRILL *FREE* <Trade for stock grill>"
Wife doesn't like billet grill, wants stock <shrug>
Will even trade, takes about 30 minutes to swap grills.

done.

See if you couldn't avoid any cost at all?

Welcome to the site:cheers:

Eagle has a good idea. You shouldn't have a problem finding someone that would love to straight up trade their stock grille for a billet or aftermarket grille.
