Any particular brand of AFM dis abler recommended? I read if I have lifter damage then I should certainly go with the AFM delete kit, is this information correct?

Yours does not have AFM. When was it built?

That was definitely a steal at 1200 bucks with such low mileage. Even if it had over 300K miles it still would be a steal [even with the rust issues] at today's used car market prices as you already know. Plus you have service records t-boot..Nice find!

Wow! That’s a lotta truck, a lotta leather and a lotta motor for $1.2k! 1st thing I’d do is update the OnStar module to get you the factory b/t functionality for calls controlled thru existing steering wheel buttons.

That’s the price you’d pay for just the DMV registration on a new one here in CA. Welcome aboard to your all aluminum 6.2L beast.

Had a 2007 XL Denali that I took to 300K.

As @swathdiver stated, your vehicle does not have AFM so no AFM delete or disabled is needed.

As for the rust, I hate to tell you, but if you’re seeing bubbling in the rockers and the wheel wells, the rust is most likely coming through from the back side of the metal and you’re only seeing a small portion of the affected area. Particularly the area in front in front of the rear wheel and behind the rear door. They put sound proofing material in that area that likes to trap moisture and cause it to rust. Unfortunately, it’s put in before the body panel is welded in so can’t be removed without cutting something.

Not saying this to discourage you, but to prepare you for when you decide to fix the rust.

I'd say that's the steal of the year if not decade. Post some pics please! Re: paint, I just bought GM OEM paint on ebay for my '10 Yukon (I only needed touchup) but you can also buy from a dealer (and pay top $).

May not be such a deal unless he is very lucky. 2007 was when GM went bankrupt and 99% of ALL GM vehicles that year were lemons, with thousands of reported major repairs. But, maybe he got lucky. Most 2007 GM vehicles are selling at 50% less than competitive Ford or Japan car for a reason.

By now, any problems with the 2007 model year cars have generally been worked out. My 2007 has been solid for 30k miles for me, and has 215,000 on it now.

@wjburken Yeah I saw that on my research online. My major trouble spots is the driver side quarter panel which I think I may have a body shop remove and weld a replacement in.

I haven't had a chance to pick up the truck yet but will post pics once I have it!
