Hey Guys new this site but found some great info so I wanted to know if anyone had this problem.

Just bought a 97 hoe and the check engine light was on and running a little ruff like it was misfiring. Went and had the codes checked and came back with 5 or 6. 1 being the MAF and O2 sensor. So I did a complete tune up including o2 sensor, fuel filter air filter..... Then it started running worse. o2 code was gone but MAF was still present. So replace the MAF and IAF, with no success the codes are still there and running worse. stalling ..... check vaccum lines PVC voltage in the MAF and IAF. Everything checks out.. NEED HELP ASAP dont have a clue what it could be :emotions122:

Did you have your PCM tuned for the MAF? That is probably part of(if not all) the problem.

No .... How do I do that. Do I have to take it to a shop or can I do it myself...

replace the maf, cap and rotor with delco or delphi parts to start.

This. BWD is cheap stuff...also, the Bosch O2's are proven to be crap. They have slower reaction times than Delphi O2's and can exaggerate problems if they exist.

Agreed. BWD is rock bottom crap and Ive had Bosch o2's and they are really the worst. Get some quality parts before you start chasing ghosts.
