While you're checking everything out, have a look at the idler arm. It's supposed to be nice and firm when you wiggle it up and down. A lot of tire shops will try to move your right wheel in order to illustrate travel on the idler arm, but I wouldn't rely on that only. Put about 20 pounds of force on it, in both the up and down directions.. if it moves more than 1/8th inch, consider replacing it. Overall, remember that big rims take their toll on all the suspension components, plus hubs and bearings.

Sorry, only just noticed the new replies.
Thanks for your help.

Would Z71 stops fit my escalade? And how are they fitted?

I'm going replace the jounce stops, idler arm and pitman arm after Christmas and hope that fixes these problems?

Replaced bump stops etc but the drivers front is right down now. Can't find replacement torsion bars anywhere either.
