Hi!

I´v just purchased my -01 Tahoe and found my way in here :)
Im 30yrs old and live in Sweden. Our wheater conditons are similair to the ones you have in New York, So it´s a bit cold in the winter time but pretty nice in the summer :)

I work in a bodyshop where we paint cars and motorcycles, alot of American cars actually since we do alot of work for a company that specializes in U.S cars. That´s from where I got my Tahoe.

Seem to be alot of knowledge and friendly people in here, looking forwards to many hours of reading.

My Nick "ActSwedish" Is from South America actually I heard the have a saying over there, that if a person is guilty or knows something is very wrong but looks nonchalant and acts innocent thats called "Acting Swedish" I guess we have some people like that over here, anyways I thought it was funny.

That´s all from me, se you in the threads :)

Regards/ TJ

Welcome to the forums! Happy to have another member from abroad! I would love having a Tahoe over there. It would have to be extremely rare to see on the road.

Thx all for the warm welcome! :)
It is a bit "exotic" owning a American car here, most cars here are Volvos, Audis, Japanese,French, Mercs and Beemers. American Cars are more expensive also, proabably cause we who buy them often are gearheads and know their real value ;)

The story behind this car is that I had been chasing around for a Tahoe for a long time, I´ve always wanted to own one someday, and now that I have a dog that weighs over 120 punds that day hade come.
Anyways we got a black one to the shop were I work It needed som paint for sale and new shocks, I struck a deal with the dealership to buy it.
But first they wanted me to fix my trade in car, the part from germany took 1week to long and just when I rang them to pick up the car they had sold it 1day earlier.

Desperate I looked around for another Tahoe but couldnt find one that I wanted. Then I stumbled across this one, it had been damaged on the roll pan when entering a ditch :S And they were going to use if for scrap parts.
Hell No I thought it looked good othwerwise so we fixed it up, the dealship got all the bumpers and parts they had took from it and now it sits here in all its glory given another chance to live ;)

My plans for the car is:

-Painting most of the exteriors black plastic in the same color as the body.
-filling and painting the vent caps.
-Stereo upgrade.
-Custom grill
-Clear corners (no more orange)
-Painting/dyeing half of the dash black like black leather not glossy (The upper part that is brownish)

This is for starters, then it depends on how much parts I can get over here from the US. Parts like projector headlights, taillights etc.

Here´s some pics on how she looks, I´ve got the spiked winter tires on now. I have a set of 20" chrome wheels that I will swap for in the springtime :)
