Call GM Corp and complain the way the stealership treated you and how they seeked to "steal" money from you, also how they denied warranty coverage, that should get them to help you out, hopefully you can get it fixed under warranty. My transmission died in the first 2k of my tahoe, so there are some issue GM should fix with quality.

Just get GM to give you a new engine under the powertrain warranty.

Now I know that a cilinder head broke, so I do need to replace the engine. The dealer finally offered to replace rods, cilinder heads, etc but I found a new 5.3L for $2900.00 +free shipping so Ill just go for it and leave my tahoe like new again. Thanks again
